So, with video giant YouTube luring brands and creators to its affiliate program, will it kill off niche affiliate platforms like LTK? LTK cofounder Amber Venz-Box told Fortune that video is three times more effective content at stimulating sales than static photos on LTK. And TikTok has been testing its version since November, where commission rates are set by the individual brands that range from fashion giant Revolve to drain protector TubShroom, according to Insider. Instagram killed its affiliate program in August 2022, and has not released a replacement. The husband-wife-cofounded platform is responsible for driving $3.6 billion in sales for over 6,000 brands (YouTube’s 50 brands available for affiliate partnerships pale in comparison). The space has historically been led by the smaller-scale $2 billion (valuation) Softbank-backed LTK. This marks YouTube’s large-scale foray into the increasingly crowded affiliate shopping arena. Though a spokesperson for YouTube declined to share commission percentages or payouts for the program, she said they are “competitive” with other affiliate programs. As of today, any YouTube partner with over 20,000 subscribers will be eligible to earn affiliate commissions from 50 brands across beauty, apparel, footwear, home, and tech. This program was previously limited to hand-picked YouTube partners. YouTube Shopping’s affiliate program allows creators to tag products in their videos from brands like Sephora, Nordstrom, and Wayfair, and earn a commission (split with YouTube) if a viewer purchases from the video. Snap has been paying top creators enormous sums-based on ad revenue sharing-for their Stories, and recently lowered the eligibility barrier. Meta is testing payments to creators based on their Reels’ performance after variable payouts to creators on confusing criteria. TikTok, which has failed to meaningfully compensate creators through the Creator Fund, is now allowing eligible creators to place premium content behind a paywall. When it comes to paying creators, YouTube’s competitors host an array of programs that seem to be in constant flux. In total, this program has paid out over $50 billion to creators, artists, and media companies, and played a significant role in top YouTuber salaries, like MrBeast’s cool $54 million in 2021. This wealth stems from the YouTube Partner Program’s ad revenue sharing program Adsense, by which creators who meet a certain threshold can opt in to splitting ad revenue- 45% of advertiser revenue on Shorts and 55% on classic longer-form content-on the platform. YouTube is the platform where some of the highest-paid creators have minted millions. “What we're trying to do is optimize between giving the viewers the content they want and giving creators the right incentives to create that content and invest in future content.” “We want a system where when we do well, the creators do well,” Amjad Hanif, YouTube’s vice president of product management in creator products and monetization, told Fortune. The announcements represent YouTube’s latest effort to keep creators happy by putting money in their pockets, sharing proceeds of its vast advertising machine to distinguish itself from competing platforms. The video site also said that smaller-scale creators, who previously did not meet requirements for the YouTube Partner Program, can now profit directly from their fandoms on the platform as a new tier of YouTube partners. ![]() The video platform’s shopping affiliate network will no longer be invite-only, YouTube said on Tuesday, providing a new way for U.S.-based creators with more than 20,000 subscribers to earn money. This video is not an attempt to sell you a good or service.YouTube is opening the doors for more creators to participate in its revenue sharing programs, seeking to fend off competition from rival video platforms with a pair of announcements designed to strengthen its ties with internet influencers. □Use Code "HANK15" For 15% Off at Lucky Shot USAĭisclaimer: These videos are strictly for educational and entertainment purposes only. ![]() ![]() *Use Code "strange5" For 5% Off at Optics Planet □Use Code "HANKSTRANGE" For 10% Off at Harry' ![]() □Use Code "HANK10" For 10% Off OlightStore □Use Code "HANK10" For 10% Off at Fort Scott □□SUPPORT And JOIN US ON out The Amazon Store: □Use Link Here To Sign Up For USCCA Conceal Carry Protection: -OR- Text STRANGE to 87222 FLUX Brace For Glock First Impressions FLUX Defense New guns 2019 Glock brace Upgrade for Glock 17 and Glock 34.

![]() So for example it is not possible to encode Latin and Cyrillic text using a single codepage.Ģ56 character codes are not even sufficient to encode various accented (diacritic) characters from different languages that use the Roman alphabet. With only 256 slots (available codepoints), usually only characters from one alphabet (writing system) can be encoded. The biggest problem of single-byte encoding standards, such as the old Mac and Windows codepages, is their limited capacity. Multi-byte mapping standards use from one to four bytes for every character - expanding the code space to billions of characters. This means that only 256 different characters can be encoded in a single one-byte encoding standard.Ī double-byte encoding uses two bytes (16 bits) for every character, so it’s possible to map 65,536 characters. With a one-byte encoding, each character in the text is encoded using exactly one byte (8 bits of information). There are one-byte, double-byte and multi-byte encoding standards. ![]() One major difference between the encoding standards (besides the assignment of codes) is the size of the code. There are many other character encoding standards (sometimes called codepages) used in the world to help use different languages. When the computer needs to show some text on screen or print it, it accesses a font and turns the character codes into visual shapes.Ī character encoding standard is a table that defines the relation between characters and the codes that are used to represent these characters in the computer. When you enter text into a computer, the computer turns the keystrokes that you press on the keyboard into integers and assigns a number (character code) to each character that you enter. Simply speaking, text in digital form is a collection of character codes (or “codepoints”) - integer numbers. In addition to storing each glyph, a font has some header information that stores general information about the font such as the family name, the style name, the copyright string, the ascender and descender values, and others. See Language Support and Glyphs for more details of selecting characters for your font. See the About Glyphs article for more details. In the following sections you will find more information about encoding modes, Unicode and name-based identification and the character-glyph model. In FontLab, you can choose the Encodings menu (in the top part of the Font Window) to display a subset of the glyph collection. Also, different/older font formats use different methods to encode characters. On an average screen the Font Window can show just a few hundred character cells, so we need to have some method to browse the font “through” the Font Window. He caught just three passes for 19 yards against the Steelers, with Fitzpatrick mostly shadowing him. For example, San Francisco’s George Kittle ranks third among tight ends in receptions and yards this season. This tactic has allowed the Steelers to minimize damage from tight ends, something that had been an issue for the defense for years. Most of their snaps in the big nickel package came in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers, which makes sense against a team with a dynamic tight end, heavy personnel groupings and a potent rushing attack. They rank seventh in the league in total snaps (78) and percentage of snaps (16.4) played in dime packages. He also expanded the concept to include the dime defense, which features three safeties on the field, two outside cornerbacks and a traditional nickel corner. When the Steelers promoted Austin from secondary coach to defensive coordinator ahead of the 2022 season, he quickly implemented the so-called “big nickel” with Minkah Fitzpatrick, Terrell Edmunds and Damontae Kazee on the field together. It’s just progressed after that into different things.” “If they broke the sets, you had a guy agile enough to cover. “Now, if they did condense the sets, you had a big enough body to handle the run game,” Austin said. As more dynamic pass-catching tight ends dominated the game, this concept became an effective counter. As far back as 1996, the Green Bay Packers began tinkering with the idea of putting a bigger-bodied nickel on the field. Current Pittsburgh Steeler Miles Killebrew also contributed when he joined the team in 2016, especially in passing situations. The solution? A hybrid defense with three safeties on the field at the same time - first it was Glover Quin, James Ihedigbo and Isa Abdul-Quddus, and later Quin, Tavon Wilson and Rafael Bush. When you got into your regular front, now you’re too big. “If you got into small (personnel groupings) like nickel, they would go big and run on you. “Think about New England when they had ( Rob Gronkowski) and (Aaron) Hernandez,” Austin said. |
